I live in Dublin, Ireland. Sometimes. Most times I live in my head, quite unaware of my surroundings – if you know what I mean… If you succeed in tracking Sean Walsh, please let me know, ok? I've been searching for him for years…
INVITE:
To the launch of my book,
Notes on the Past Imperfect,
at the Writers’ Centre, Parnell square,
on Wednesday, May 16. at 6.30 p m.
A taste of wine, drop o’ water, bit o’ craic
and a signed copy if you’re good –
good at forking out…
Sean.
“I was really struck by the sheer originality…
I have read nothing like it and probably never will.”
– Martin Hogan.
Sara Unveiled!.. All the way from Blackrock, Dundalk, with her three weens, God love them. Sara Walsh, the last of the line, my youngest niece… I gave her away on her wedding day, talked the talk after at the reception. Yeah!
“Sixty years… so long ago?.. Seems like yesterday…” Thus began Master Class – which I shared with the gathering on the night…
“He was supposed to talk about me – instead he went on and on about this brilliant, honest, courageous scribe that he knew of old!..”
Wee 4; Zoe, Joanna, Larry and Kelly o’Byrne
Fans – to a man!
Simon Murtagh, my grand nephew.
(Did I get that right?)
He breezed in and I welcomed him
with open arms…
Da, Ma and Doc. Dr Sean Gilroy, my very own G P. Wonderful medico but more than that, a darlin’ man. And a crack photographer, to boot. All the photos above, his handiwork…
